Objectives
Participants will develop a common understanding of fundamental risk concepts, terminology, and principles, with a focus on their practical application in the marine and offshore industries. The course provides an overview of commonly used risk assessment techniques, relevant industry standards, and their application to operational decision-making. Participants will also gain an understanding of classification societies’ approaches to risk assessment, including the processes involved, documentation and submission requirements, and review criteria. Particular emphasis is placed on applying systematic risk assessment methods to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and support effective risk management throughout marine and offshore operations.
