Purpose

This online familiarization course provides individuals with the knowledge to enable them to effectively use an AED as part of the resuscitation process for a victim who has suffered a cardiac arrest. The platform teaches students and seafarers critical abilities and awareness needed to respond to and accomplish an emergency in the first few minutes.

• Care for and maintaining an AED

Objectives

This course will prepare you to correctly and timely perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) during an emergency such as heart cardiac arrest! Learn how to care, maintain, perform troubleshooting on AED equipment and execute a safe use of AED.
