Purpose

AHTS operations is considered one of the most dangerous offshore operations especially for crew on main deck (history shows that). This course is specifically designed for ensuring smooth and safe AHTS operations in busy offshore industry. Safety rules and procedures needs to be adhered in order to stay safe at all times.

Crew roles and responsibilities
AHTS specifications & basics
AHTS equipment
Preparing vessel for AHT operations
Rig move - anchor handling operation
Pipe layer barge anchor handling operation
Towing operation (rig, barge etc.)
Hip up towing operation
Associated hazards during AHT ops
Passenger transfers (basket, frog)
Safety at work

Objectives

Participants will be familiarized with all the essential operations performed by AHTS vessels. This course is tailored for beginners and anyone who wants to enhance their present knowledge in AHTS industry benefiting directly safe & efficient working environment.
