Purpose

Due to increased marine piracy activates in the world there is a need for higher seafarer awareness and preparedness if it occurs. When and how to timely act, how to protect yourself and your crew will be shown in this course. In some cases during pirate attacks one wrong gesture can lead to fatal outcome.

• Safe room (safe haven - citadel)
• Risk assessment
• Security muster station
• Bridge antipiracy drill
• Ship protection measures
• Hostage & conduct during hostage situation
• Reporting procedure

Objectives

Participants will learn how to properly act and accordingly execute duty roles in stressful situation during marine piracy attack. How to prepare ship against pirates efficiently and when to proceed to safe room (safe haven - citadel) if need occurs. Properly execute communication and distress alert procedures.
