Banksman and Slinger (Stage 1) – Training Course ONLINE

Purpose

This training course is designed to give participants necessary insight how to perform safely hoisting operations with the crane operator. Provide workers involved in rigging & slinging with the necessary knowledge of: hoisting, hooking, lifting equipment, communications, safety procedures etc. This training course is designed to be only in line with OPITO.

Content

The course will cover the following topics:
Hoisting equipment & hooking up operation
Safe storage & register of hoisting equipment
Safe working load(SWL) of hoisting equipment
Inspection (visual) of hoisting gear
Maintenance of hoisting gear
Radio communication
Safety at work
General knowledge on cranes

Objectives

Main objective of this course is for participants to fortify all hoisting operations which needs to be done in safely manner and efficiently at same time. No shortcuts allowed during preparation of the hoist and if any posing risk occurs, lifting operation should be stopped immediately until risk assessment completed and risk assessed in acceptable levels.

Evaluation

All participants have to complete a questionnaire in order to obtain the certificate.

Certification – Diploma

All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive certificate of two years validity in line with Offshore International Industries guidelines. This Training follows international standards of quality and meets the ISO 9001-2015 requirements.
