Purpose

In case of helicopter emergency ditching, the procedures for CA-EBS usage will be needed to extend valuable time for self-rescue purposes. In many helicopter ditching cases studies it has been shown that some additional form of air for victims is particularly essential to fortify safe escape from underwater. This training course is designed to be only in line with OPITO.

• CA-EBS difference between rebreather and hybrid rebreather
• Pre-flight inspection
• Proper use of CA-EBS
• Water ingress and emergency escape with CA-EBS
• CA-EBS limitations
• CA-EBS positive & negative characteristics
• Associated hazards with CA-EBS
• CA-EBS checks & maintenance

Objectives

Educate participants how to properly use CA-EBS in case of helicopter crash and water ingress, what are CA-EBS limitations and all binding hazards associated with it's usage. How to properly and timely prepare in order to extend CA-EBS usage underwater.
