Confined Space Rescue (CSR) – Training Course ONLINE

Registration

Purpose

This course is designed for personnel who are members of rescue teams or may be involved in rescue operations onboard vessels or at onshore / offshore facilities. It focuses on the techniques, procedures, and safety measures required to conduct rescue operations effectively while minimizing risks to both casualties and rescuers. This is an independent training designed to follow OPITO framework (not OPITO approved).

• Safe entry and exit of confined spaces
• Associated confined space risks
• Recovery of casualties from confined spaces
• First aid emergency action plan
• Defibrillation - AED usage

Objectives

Participants will learn how to plan and execute rescue operations systematically, ensuring that casualties are assisted safely and without unnecessary delay. The course covers the correct selection and use of rescue equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard identification and risk assessment, and the specific dangers associated with confined space rescue. Particular emphasis is placed on following established safety procedures, maintaining effective communication, and ensuring that rescuers do not expose themselves or others to unnecessary risks during rescue operations.

Evaluation

All participants have to complete a questionnaire in order to obtain the certificate.

Certification - Diploma

All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive certificate with three years validity in line with Offshore International Industries guidelines. This Training follows international standards of quality and meets the ISO 9001-2015 requirements.
