FOET Training (Further Offshore Emergency Training) – Course
Purpose
Main purpose of this course it to further extend offshore safety and emergency response training for participants working in the offshore oil and gas industry and for those who will during helicopter travel be supplied with a compressed air emergency breathing system (CA-EBS) and what to do in emergency helicopter ditching situations. This training course is designed to be only in line with OPITO.
Content
- The course will cover the following topics:
- Safety induction
- Sea Survival
- Fire Fighting & Self Rescue
- Offshore hazards and safety
- First Aid
- Hypothermia
- HUET/ helicopter safety
- Compressed air emergency breathing system (CA-EBS)
Objectives
This training is focused to give to a participants further demonstration and practice on emergency response to all those who do not have access/opportunity to practice during offshore drills and trainings. Know how to perform elementary first aid, effectively execute firefighting in fire scenarios or manage a helicopter underwater escape.

Participants in this course must have a medical certificate that are fit to participate in this training and to sign self declaration medical form.

Evaluation
All participants have to make at least three unassisted escapes-egresses from the helicopter capsule-simulator and to complete a questionnaire in order to obtain the certificate.
Certification – Diploma
All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive certificate with validity of four years in line with Offshore International Industries guidelines. This Training follows international standards of quality and meets the ISO 9001-2015 requirements.
