Helicopter Firefighting (HFF) – Training Course ONLINE

Purpose

This training course is designed for all those helideck team personnel who have designated duties as a helicopter emergency response crew (installations or offshore vessels). When helideck emergency fire situation occurs team preparedness is what will count the most (quick and proper response will minimize assets damage and risk to all personnel). Being prepared is being safe.

Content

The course will cover the following topics:
Type of extinguishers & firefighting agents
Fire hose and assembly
Foam appliances
Fire chemistry
Firefighting method
Helicopter crash & fire scene
PPE – Personal protective Equipment
BA – Breathing apparatus
First Aid

Objectives

Participants will gain knowledge and learn techniques necessary for performing in case of helicopter accident / fire scenario. Shall obtain which Personal protective Equipment (PPE) to wear, how to properly use breathing apparatus (BA), give first aid if need be, which firefighting equipment and method to use for fighting the fire.

Evaluation

All participants have to complete a questionnaire in order to obtain the certificate.

Certification – Diploma

All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive certificate with validity of two years in line with Offshore International Industries guidelines. This Training follows international standards of quality and meets the ISO 9001-2015 requirements.
