Helicopter Firefighting (HFF) – Training Course ONLINE

Purpose

This training course is designed for helideck personnel assigned to helicopter emergency response duties on offshore installations and vessels. In the event of a helicopter accident or fire on the helideck, the team’s level of preparedness, coordination, and ability to respond quickly and correctly are critical to protecting human life, minimizing damage to assets, and preventing the escalation of the incident. Effective training and preparation are essential to ensuring a safe and coordinated emergency response.

Objectives

Participants will gain the knowledge and practical skills required to respond effectively to helicopter accidents and fire emergencies on the helideck. The course covers the correct selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), the safe operation of breathing apparatus (BA), basic first aid, and the appropriate selection and use of firefighting equipment and techniques for different fire scenarios. Particular emphasis is placed on emergency response procedures, team coordination, and the importance of acting promptly and safely while protecting both casualties and emergency response personnel.

All participants have to complete a questionnaire in order to obtain the certificate.

Certification – Diploma

All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive certificate with validity of two years in line with Offshore International Industries guidelines. This Training follows international standards of quality and meets the ISO 9001-2015 requirements.
