HDA (Helideck Assistant Training) – Training Course ONLINE

Purpose

Main role of Helideck Assistant (HDA) is to help and aid Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) in any daily routine tasks such as helideck equipment check, passenger embarkation / disembarkation, loading of cargo / baggages, refuelling the helicopter, how to act in emergency situation etc. This training will learn you all procedures and best practices to properly prepare all crew who will be performing HDA role. This training course is designed to be only in line with OPITO.

  • Hand signals
  • Helicopter embarking passengers & loading freight
  • Refuelling procedures
  • Dangerous goods
  • Emergency procedures & safety
  • Helicopter identification

Objectives

Participants will acquire valuable knowledge and lessons to perform all necessary duties as a HDA which covers: helicopter landings and take-offs, helideck safe operations, personnel & passengers safety, emergency role procedures & emergency scenarios, handling of dangerous goods, refuelling the helicopter, communication & hand signals, potential helideck hazards etc.

Evaluation

All participants have to complete a questionnaire and several exercises in order to obtain the certificate.

Certification – Diploma

All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive certificate with three years validity in line with Offshore International Industries guidelines. This Training follows international standards of quality and meets the ISO 9001-2015 requirements.
