HERTM Further (Helideck Emergency Response Team Member Further) – Training Course ONLINE
Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM) Training programme is needed to equip Offshore Helideck emergency response personnel with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to perform an emergency response team member role in offshore helideck and helicopter emergencies. Course is intended for all those personnel who have expired initial HERTM or expired HERTM Further certificate (applies for HDA roles), exception is for personnel who will be appointed to HLO duties than expired HERTM certificate needs to be renewed by HERTL course instead. This training course is designed to be only in line with OPITO.
- The course will cover the following topics:
- Emergency helideck team member role and responsibilities
- Response plan and helideck emergency system
- Types of helideck emergencies on installations
- HLO and team members communication & response
- Firefighting ops
- NUI emergency response
- Search and rescue ops
- Fatality / casualty handling
The main objectives of Further training is for participants to refresh knowledge and skills on the role and responsibilities of a Helideck Emergency Response Team Member and respond accordingly to a variety of helideck firefighting and other emergency scenarios: search and rescue, NUI emergencies etc.

All participants have to complete a questionnaire and pass series of emergency scenarios in order to obtain the certificate.
Certification – Diploma
All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive certificate with two years validity in line with Offshore International Industries guidelines. This Training follows international standards of quality and meets the ISO 9001-2015 requirements.
