Purpose

Effective communication is essential to the safe and successful execution of all operations. Offshore helideck and helicopter operations are safety-critical activities that require clear, accurate, and timely communication between the helideck radio operator and the helicopter pilot. Establishing and maintaining effective communication is vital to ensuring operational safety, supporting situational awareness, and enabling an appropriate response to routine and emergency situations.

Objectives

Participants will gain the knowledge and understanding required to perform radio operator duties during offshore helicopter operations. The course covers routine radio communications, emergency communication arrangements, standard communication procedures, and the actions required of a radio operator throughout helicopter operations. Particular emphasis is placed on clear and concise communication, adherence to established protocols, and the importance of accurate information exchange in maintaining safe and efficient offshore helideck operations.

All participants have to complete a questionnaire in order to obtain the certificate.

Certification – Diploma

All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive certificate with validity of two years in line with Offshore International Industries guidelines. This Training follows international standards of quality and meets the ISO 9001-2015 requirements.
