Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)
This training course is designed to provide all helicopter crew and passengers traveling over sea with the knowledge and skills necessary to act in response to helicopter rollover-ditching situations.
Candidates will develop hands-on experience and self-confidence using the submerged helicopter simulators, which it is not possible to practice on offshore rigs and other vessels during standard drills, exercises and training.
Theoretical Classroom Lectures + Video Presentation Comprises:
- Emergency Preparation
- Procedures at heliport
- Emergency Procedures and Drills
- Aircraft Underwater Escape Skills
- Helicopter Safety Equipment
- Deploying Life Saving Equipment
- Sea Survival Techniques
Practical Demonstration in Swimming Pool Includes:
- Inversion of simulator
- Underwater escape from an aircraft simulator
- Combination day and night simulation
- Injury simulation
- Assisting other persons from a ditched aircraft
To provide passengers-seafarers with the awareness and self-confidence to help out in their survival in the event of a helicopter ditching at sea
10 participants maximum; 3 minimum
Conditions for participation
Participants in this course must have a medical certificate that are fit to participate in this training and to sign self declaration medical form.

Items to Bring
National Photographic Identification or Passport, Photo, Swim wear and towel
Hotel booking assisted for participants living far from Trogir.
All participants have to make at least three unassisted escapes-egresses from the helicopter capsule-simulator and to complete a questionnaire in order to obtain the certificate.
Certification – Diploma
All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will certificate which validity of will be three years in line with Offshore International Industries guidelines. This Training follows international standards of quality and meets the ISO 9001-2002 requirements.
