Regular and thorough inspection of lifting equipment and lifting gear is essential to maintaining safe lifting operations and ensuring compliance with applicable safety requirements. Objectives

Participants will develop the knowledge and practical skills required to carry out routine and unscheduled inspections of lifting equipment and lifting gear. The course covers the identification of defects, damage, wear, and other signs of deterioration; the procedures for removing defective equipment from service and placing it in quarantine; and the importance of reporting findings and arranging timely maintenance. Participants will also learn inspection best practices and appropriate equipment care measures to help maintain equipment integrity, extend service life, and support safe lifting operations.
