Purpose

Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) is a type of personal protective equipment that protects people from breathing in substances hazardous to health. In working environments where are present exposures to fumes, dust and other inhale harmful substances it is of a big importance to choose proper Respiratory Protective Equipment for the task.

Selection of appropriate RPE for given task
Types of RPEs
Types of filters
Awareness on proper RPE donning
Associated risks
RPE maintenance and storage
Safe practices

Objectives

Participants will learn associated hazards connected to improper use of Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) and obtain skill for donning RPE fully and correctly. Acquire what are the required maintenance for RPE equipment and safe practices (safety must be a number one priority before commencement of any job).
