Purpose

Most of shipping companies developed their own Safety Management System which needs to comply with international safety regulations. It is in use to enhance safety culture, minimize hazards and keep operational efficiency rate (so what is SMS, what does it cover & how to apply it on daily basis will be explain in this course). Negligence of safety procedures provided in company's SMS and it's improper implementation will have a direct impact on decreased safety and increased accidents rate (don't let that happen, stay safe at all times).

Objectives

Participants at the end of this course will get familiar with general SMS topics, how to apply it in every day situation (its proper implementation on board / at office), preventing and maintaining accidents / incidents to a minimum level (keeping operational performance excellence with safety always in mind).
