Purpose
Sea survival and safety awareness are fundamental to protecting personnel working in the offshore wind energy and renewable energy industries. These environments present unique hazards that require workers to understand and follow established safety procedures. A lack of knowledge, awareness, or compliance with safety guidelines can contribute to accidents and lost-time injuries (LTIs). This training course introduces essential safety principles and sea survival techniques to help participants recognise hazards, respond appropriately to emergencies, and contribute to a safer working environment. This training course is designed to be only in line with GWO.

Objectives
Participants will develop an understanding of essential sea survival techniques and the safety measures required when working in offshore environments. The course covers hazard awareness, emergency preparedness, appropriate responses to dangerous situations, and practical measures for protecting themselves and others at sea. Participants will also learn how to reduce risks, respond effectively when faced with an emergency, and minimise the potential consequences of hazardous situations. Particular emphasis is placed on personal responsibility, following established safety procedures, and preserving life and health in offshore working environments.

Evaluation
All participants have to complete a questionnaire in order to obtain the certificate.
Certification - Diploma
All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive certificate with two years validity in line with Offshore International Industries guidelines. This Training follows international standards of quality and meets the ISO 9001-2015 requirements.
