Purpose

Main purpose of this course is safe offshore & maritime transfers by the boat for all working personnel and passengers. Safety is the first step that needs to be achieved before job even starts and this applies for transfer operations as well (from the beginning to the end). This training course is designed to be only in line with OPITO.

Pre-travel preparation
Forbidden items prior transfer
Safe boat transfer (embarkation & disembarkation)
Personnel basket / FROG transfer
Risk associated with basket transfer
LSA(lifesaving appliances)
Hazards involved during boat transfer ops
Best practices
Safety culture
Stop work authority

Objectives

By the end of this course participants will acquire proper skill and safety procedures / instructions how to safely perform embarking, transfer and disembarking operation by a boat at offshore field or anywhere at sea. Learn how to use LSA (life saving appliances), what are forbidden items prior transfer and when to use stop work authority for preserving intact safety.
