Purpose
Health and safety training is crucial for all workplaces to ensure a safe environment for employees. It encompasses various topics designed to educate maritime workers about potential hazards, safe work practices, and emergency procedures.
Content
- The course will cover the following topics:
- Overview of labor legislation; employees’ legal rights and responsibilities
- Workplace hygiene, orderliness, and causes of occupational diseases
- Legal consequences of occupational accidents and illnesses
- Principles of disease prevention and protective measures
- Biological and psychosocial risk factors; first aid; harmful effects of tobacco
- Chemical, physical, and ergonomic risks; manual handling techniques
- Fire and explosion prevention; use of safety equipment
- Display screen equipment, electrical risks, and preventive measures
- Causes of occupational accidents; accident prevention methods
- Health and safety signage; use of personal protective equipment
- Safety culture, evacuation, and rescue procedures
Objectives
Participants will learn all about legal rights and responsibilities, health and workplace good practices, safety rules, emergency procedures, protective equipment and hazards mitigation points.

All participants have to complete a questionnaire/exam in order to obtain the certificate.
