Registration

Purpose

"Man overboard!" is an exclamation given aboard a vessel to indicate that a member of the crew or a passenger has fallen off of the ship into the water and is in need of immediate rescue. Correct and timely rescue techniques is of at most importance for improving survival chance of casualty overboard, those steps will be shown and explain in this course.

The course will cover the following topics:
Man overboard introduction
Rescue procedures
Man overboard risk management
MOB risk management tool
Inflatable personal flotation devices
Man overboard alarm systems and personal beacons
Safety at work

Objectives

Participants will be familiarized with various techniques and procedures which are implemented onboard ships for dealing with man overboard situations. Learn about hazardous situation during man overboard operation and it's proper mitigation.
